Call of Duty World War II Best Buy Exclusive

So Best Buy currently has listed what appears to be an exclusive bundle for the upcoming Call of Duty: World War II. It’s called the “Boots on the Ground” bundle and includes what appears to be a canvas backpack similar to what troops actually had during World War II. It’s shows it as an online pre-order order with no in store availability. Along with this there comes a $50 Xbox Live gift card which of course you can use to purchase the Season Pass.

Rave in the Redwoods DLC1 Zombie Pack

Hey Call of Duty fans, looks like the first download pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Zombies will include Rave in the Redwoods, which sets the players into a cabin in the woods type setting, much compared to a 80s horror movie.  New weapons too, including golf clubs, axes, bats with nails in it and more!

Hmmm, could we see Jason Voorhees come out in this map?

COD: Infinite Warfare the MOST Anticipated Game of 2016?

Well unless you have actually been living on Mars, by now you certainly know that COD: Infinite Warfare released to the worst reviews of ANY game in the history of the franchise (see my post Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Official Trailer) and recorded the 2nd most hated video EVER on Youtube (right behind Justin Beiber, which is rightfully so)!

However as more and more of the game details have been released, it appears fans of the game are changing their tunes.  In a recent poll by the financial firm Piper Jaffray, 100 Xbox One and PS4 gamers were polled about the games they were most looking forward to that are set to release in the fall.  From these, 33% of those that responded said they were most excited about the release of Infinite Warfare, a much higher percentage than Battlefield 1, Titan Fall, Ghost Recon or any other game, thus making COD: Infinite Warfare the most anticipated game of 2016.

As I’ve stated in the past, Call of Duty literally about the only game I play on Xbox One, so you know what I’ll be playing when it releasing in November!  What will you be playing???

Infinite Warfare: The Return of Terminal

Well it appears just like in other game releases, Activision is reviving another fan favorite map from game past.  This time it’s Terminal from Modern Warfare 2, however, instead of being an airport in Russia it’s a moon base space station.  The layout is said to be identical, and it will certainly be interesting to see how it plays.  But don’t get too excited just yet as there is a catch:  the ONLY way to get this map is to pre-order it.  That’s right, in order to get Terminal with Infinite Warfare you have to order in advance.

Don’t forget too that in order to get access to Modern Warfare Remastered you have to purchase the Legacy Edition of the game for $80.  You can also buy the Legacy Pro edition, which will include the new Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered, and Infinite Warfare’s season pass.

Guess that’s one way to keep the sale rolling in….

Activision Not Worried About Infinite Warfare Hate

So in my last post Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Official Trailer I talked about how there is so much hate for the game merely based on the fact that some of it is set in outer space.  I also talked about how I believe that aside from all this hate the game will still be a success.  Well in a recent interview, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg discussed the same matter, where he compared this to the pre-release views of Black Ops II.  Black Ops II then had the worst reviews of any previous Call of Duty release, yet ultimately turned out to be one of the most successful in the series.

Besides that, with the remastering of COD: Modern Warfare, which will not be released on it’s own, will almost ensure this to be a top seller….mark my words.  Be sure to register to get Infinite Warfare free through the exchange of mission points earned on this site.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Official Trailer

Okay, so by now most everyone has seen the official Call of Duty Infinite Warfare game trailer, and as of this post it has 2.9 millions dislikes!  Yep, you read that right, 2.9 million dislikes.  The ONLY video with more dislikes is the official Justin Bieber Baby music video, which that I can truly understand.

So why all the hate?  Many are stating it’s because it has become even more futuristic, with part of the action taking place in space.  So what’s wrong with that?  Two of the top ten best selling Xbox games are Halo, which is set 100% in the future with aliens and what not.

Yet others are stating Call of Duty is not staying true to it’s roots.  Okay, so we had several games which touched on World War II, then transitioned into the present day with Modern Warfare, and flipped back to Vietnam and other skirmishes with Black Ops.  What are they supposed to do now, cover the Battle of 1812 or French Revolution?  It only makes sense that this is the way they take the franchise.

Will it be the death of the series?  I highly doubt it, and I’m sure on November 4th I’ll be playing it along side millions of other gamers, despite all the hate being displayed.

Here’s the video if you have not seen it:

Call of Duty Player Total Game Time Played

So I came across an interesting story.

Based on the number of players that have played Call of Duty and the number of hours spent playing, it appears that collectively they have logged more hours played than humankind has been in existence! Aside from that, the player base for Call of Duty players worldwide is larger than numerous country’s total population!

I know these stats sound crazy, but based on mine and my son’s game play I can certainly believe it.  One can literally log on any time and anywhere and find players actively playing the game, especially on Xbox.  Heck, there are even players that still  play the older Call of Duty games online, and I’m sure this is a trend that will continue for a long time.
